When I was 9 years old, my mother brought an LP home to me.
After listening for several minutes, I came running out of my room
exclaiming,
" That's what I want to be!"
It was a recording of Maria Callas: "Callas à Paris".

Welcome to my homepage!
I celebrate my 40th season of professional singing in 2015. Since 2003, I also have a lifetime professorship at the University of Music Wuerzburg, Germany, where I instruct and coach aspiring young singers.
Additionally, I conduct Master Classes for classical voice worldwide, including the Master Class and International Opera Workshop at the North Aegean Music Festival, which is a project my husband and I initiated in Greece.
I also adjudicate international voice competitions regularly. Future competitions include the Schubert-Wettbewerb Dortmund for Lied and the Maria Callas Grand Prix.
Most recently I have begun stage-directing. Fully staged opera projects have included "Il barbiere di Siviglia" and "Ariadne auf Naxos". I am looking forward to expanding this new and exciting line of work in the future.
